Based on the myth of Persephone (Kore) and Demeter, Kore: The Mysteries takes the player through a series of trials inspired by the ancient Eleusinian mysteries. How gender perceptions limit design thinking in games

I was riding right along with Jesse Schell in his book The Art of Game Design, right until about page 102, when he started exploring the relation of player demographics to game design.
